Welcome to Refugia Blog.  A space for indigenism, autonomy, ecology, anarchism, and creativity.  In biology, a refugia is a place where a once prolific species, that has become isolated, can thrive, “an area of relatively unaltered climate that is inhabited by plants and animals during a period of continental climatic change (as a glaciation) and remains as a center of relict forms from which a new dispersion and speciation may take place after climatic readjustment.”*  Refugia still exists and refugia are created.  In an unbalanced world, refugia spaces are political and ecological places of balance.
